Description:

CCT's Stage Right Theatre announces open call auditions (non-equity) for male and female actors for Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Monday & Tuesday, September 26 and 27, 2011 from 6:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. at the former DeKalb High School (now Huntley Middle School), at 1515 S. 4th Street in DeKalb.

Individuals arriving for auditions should enter through the main doors, adjacent to the parking lot on Barb Blvd. in DeKalb, and may arrive at any time between the designated audition times.

Casting is open to all actors and actresses, ages 14 and up. Separate casting for a "children's choir" will be held concurrently for children ages 7-13.

Filled with youthful energy, Joseph combines a wide variety of musical styles - everything from country to calypso to rock 'n' roll - in a series of memorable musical numbers. Described as a high-voltage extravaganza, Joseph includes such classic songs as the contemplative "Any Dream Will Do," the Caribbean infused "Benjamin Calypso," the dazzling "Jacob and Sons/Joseph's Coat," the rockabilly sensation "Song of the King (Seven Fat Cows)" and the unforgettable "Go, Go, Go Joseph."

Time Commitment:

Performances of CCT's Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat are January 13-15 and 20-22, 2012 at NIU's O'Connell Theatre.

Rehearsals will be held twice per week, beginning October 14, 2011. An increased rehearsal schedule will begin at the end of November. Children's choir rehearsals will be once per week, with an increased rehearsal schedule beginning in December.

Material To Prepare:
