Parker Players Theater Co. is excited to announce auditions for Amadeus by Peter Shaffer. Directors Chris Causer and Jenilee Houghton are bringing a rebellious new take on this classic story. It's a tale of two artists and how their ego-driven battle for fame and glory ultimately leads to their respective demise. A levity-filled drama whose scope is as operatic as it comes, but presented as an intimate, immersive (and slightly anarchic) new experience.

All auditions, rehearsals and performances will take place at 540 W Northwest Highway, Barrington, IL.

Auditions: April 14 (1p - 4p) & 15 (6p - 9p)

Stipend: $200

Characters:
Genders specified are the presenting genders for each character and will be portrayed and referenced as such in the production. We are happy to cast actors of any/all genders to play any role. Most roles will require creative movement and dance, but no formal dance training is required. Singing or playing an instrument (especially rock/punk style) is not required, but welcome!

*These roles will also make up the Ensemble of "Little Winds", Servants, Performers and Citizens of Vienna.
Please note the show will feature a near-constant presence by the Ensemble, so we're seeking a dynamic troupe of playful, creative, brave performers.
