Description:

The Factory Theater in co-production with Lindley and Hall Productions are seeking actors for both main cast and understudy roles for Stabbed in the Heart, a musical with book & lyrics by Nate Hall and Cody Lindley, music by Nate Hall, directed by Braxton Crewell, and music directed by Evan Cullinan. We are seeking actors of all races, sizes, abilities, and gender identities to submit.

Halloween meets Spring Awakening in this college camp coming-of-age slasher musical. Lia feels out of place when her college roommate, Trish, makes her tag along for a cabin weekend. Their fun-filled weekend becomes blood-soaked when Trish's friends start to get slaughtered by someone in the group. In this slasher dramedy about young love, toxic relationships, and the connections that last a lifetime, Lia faces a gaslighting killer and her own anxiety while trying to save her new friends.

Pay Rate: $200 + Any percentage made above the production costs will be split evenly amongst the cast & crew

All characters are in their first year of college and can be played by actors up to their 30s. Craig, Jeff, Diane, and Brenda double as ghosts, reporters, paramedics, etc.

DIANE (Soprano), the plastic
BRENDA (Alto), the mom stoner
NICKY (Mezzo Soprano or Baritone), the nerd

*All roles are open ethnicity and all roles outside of the 4 listed as such are open to all genders

**We plan to utilize both internal and external understudies. There will also be a guaranteed understudy performance.

Rehearsals will be Monday-Wednesday evenings from 7-10 PM, Saturdays from 10:00 AM-2:00 PM, & Sundays from 10:00 AM-1:00 PM.
Performances are Thursday-Saturday evenings and Sunday afternoons.

Material To Prepare:

Song sides from the show will be provided along with a track. Key changes are available if needed upon request outside of the sides for Lia, Trish, Zach, and Brent. Please email casting@thefactorytheater with your headshot and resume to receive audition materials.
