Starring Mary Bridget Davies in the breakout role that brought her a Tony nomination, the Broadway musical event A Night With Janis Joplin captures the legendary singer's life and legacy with all of the intensity of an actual Joplin concert. With powerful musical numbers including "Cry Baby," "Piece of My Heart," "Me and Bobby McGee," "Summertime" and "Mercedes Benz," as well as one song Joplin never formally recorded, the show boasts a full band and cast who bring the blues-rocker's story to the stage along with those of some of her famous musical influences, including Bessie Smith, Etta James, Aretha Franklin and Nina Simone.
