Menken’s score thankfully avoids clichéd “futuristic” sounds, but it doesn’t reach the heights of his Little Shop of Horrors. It ranges from the forgettable to downright embarrassing. blue moon’s young cast has enthusiasm and charm to spare, but Bartolo’s rudimentary, sometimes clumsy staging does nothing for the material."
