"...Regrettably, the scripts struggled to capture the audience's interest, leading to an uncomfortable silence in the air, in contrast to the lively atmosphere typically found in a comedy club. This stillness, which should never be present, felt flat, with some scripts feeling like the laughter had been drained from the room. The cast is entertaining. Nonetheless, the chemistry between the performers falls short of the delightful comedic spark seen in their earlier productions."

"...Six very talented and quite funny performers do their thing in a two hour ( two acts with a 15 minute intermission) revue that will bring laughter to all. While the show is geared for the Black population, most other groups will get it. I think back to the days of the Yiddish theater in Chicago. While many of the audience members were not Jewish, they got most of the jokes. I have always been one to pick up on humor from ethnic groups, so we had no problem. Nothing went over our heads, but the African-Americans in the audience got it better!"

"...So if you’re a fan of sketch comedy and Second City shows, but scared that you won’t relate to a show that has Black in the name, don’t be! Live a little! See the show and then afterwards you can Google why bonnets are important and what an oo-tee is. And if you already know what those are, great! Get ready to laugh and snap when you recognize those experiences or laugh at yourself as the cast calls you out."
