Chicago 60603

The Art Institute of Chicago, overlooking Grant Park, is one of the city’s most iconic museums. Inside, you’ll find a collection of more than 300,000 works spanning artists and cultures from around the world, with especially strong galleries of 19th-century French painting and standout 20th-century painting and sculpture. A series of expansions—including the Renzo Piano–designed Modern Wing—has helped shape it into one of the largest art museums in the United States, and it also serves as a memorable setting for select Candlelight concerts.
