"...The energy, as always with Marriott shows, was addictive and enthralling. The costumes were delightful with a wonderful addition to a lit-up Glinda gown. Going into the show I wondered how the standards were going to be tackled. It’s not the right climate for tornadoes, budget wouldn’t allow hundreds of Munchkins, and the most important...would there be a dog? In order, very ingenious, a cast of 3, and yes. I was told a while ago from a professor that when acting on stage with either a child or an animal that you will lose any focus from the audience. This was handled quite well with Toto by only using the dog in the beginning and end (not a spoiler alert)."

"...The beauty of children’s theater or what is often termed “Theater for young adults” is that by offering these marvelous little shows, our youngsters ( children-grandchildren) are being exposed to “live” theater and that makes me happy! In some cases, because they need a parent or grandparent to take them, the adult is also exposed to theater and once they see the reaction and live the experience, perhaps they will explore other venues and plays as well. There is nothing like this experience."
