Based on the hit Adam Sandler movie, The Wedding Singer takes us back to a time when hair was big, greed was good, collars were up, and a wedding singer might just be the coolest guy in the room. It's 1985, and rock star wannabe, Robbie Hart, is New Jersey's favorite wedding singer. He's the life of the party until his own fiancee leaves him at the altar. Shot through the heart, Robbie makes every wedding as disastrous as his own. Enter Julia, a winsome waitress who wins his affection but is set to marry Glen...A Wall Street Shark.

Chicagoland Musical Theatre - Highly Recommended

"...Casting-wise, Surging once again comes up roses and picks a lovely bouquet. Quinlivan, in particular, is blessed with a great big face just made for rubbery musical-comedy expressiveness, and he’s exactly the sort of person who can make Robbie’s nigh-terminal sulkiness endearing and hilarious. Katie Meyers is our grounder, a perfect comic straight woman, even when singing a sweet coaxing song called “Come Out of the Dumpster.” And nobody’s gone broke ripping the piss out of shortsighted short-selling Wall Street sharks, so Jim Kane goes for broke as Glenn, our villain."
