The Tall Boy

The Tall Boy

Stage 773
1225 W Belmont Ave Chicago

Set in occupied Germany in the aftermath of World War II, THE TALL BOY couldn't be more timely. An American relief worker, portrayed by veteran stage actress Tandy Cronyn, tells the story of three orphaned boys, Czech, Polish and Italian, at a displaced persons camp for "unaccompanied children." The boys have become mascots to the American GIs and dream of coming to America, but the US isn't welcoming refugees at this time. THE TALL BOY is a compelling story, with all characters portrayed by Cronyn, that will touch your heart while raising some bitter truths found in the pursuit of the American Dream.
