Mildred Wild and her diabetic husband Roy live in and operate a rundown candy store in New York. The building is being sold and they owe money to everyone. Life is not easy for Mildred, except for when she is watching old movies. She has eagerly devoured thousands of old movies and they have become the focus of her life. They have even started to intrude into and replace her real life. This beautifully written and funny play by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Paul Zindel that proves that sometimes little bit of hope and a little bit of madness may be all you need.
