The Medium At Large Reviews

"...Julia Cameron and Emma Lively's new musical, about a matchmaking psychic, never quite finds its feet in this uneven, often low-energy production. John Herrera has a strong voice and considerable stage presence as the medium, but his incompletely drawn character does little more than talk about the problems afflicting the living and dead people around him."

"...This is a sweet, often funny, chamber musical that will leave you feeling good about life and the world. The characters are lovable. It is pure fantasy featuring mischief, ghosts while it fosters the belief that those passed on never really leave us and that it is possible for them to communicate with us. This show has loads of heart."

"...At times, director Carl Occhipinti sacrifices some of the comedy, letting the story lose its balance as the dead mingle with the living. There’s just nothing funny about grieving lost loved ones or having nothing for comfort but a teasing ghost, and I dare anyone to show me the humor in a suicide attempt."
