The Drowsy Chaperone

The Drowsy Chaperone

Skokie Theatre
7924 Lincoln Ave Skokie

The Drowsy Chaperone was originally developed in 1998 as a wedding present for Winnetka native Janet Van de Graaf and her fiancee Bob Martin. It was created by Toronto theatre mainstays Don McKellar, Lisa Lambert and Greg Morrison, who presented it for the first time at Martin's stag party in a notorious bar called The Rivoli. Martin enjoyed it so much that he signed on as a writer and continued to develop it for the Toronto Fringe Festival the next year.
