Together with an orchestra of gear composing the visual and audio costars, Hardiman’s tale becomes all-consuming. Constant visual and auditory input can at times overwhelm the senses, an apt metaphor for the bureaucratic adventure. Hardiman’s story is not wholly uncommon, though it is uncommonly told. Their story, put to a synth melody and paired with medical jargon scrolling across the screens, demands attention. No—it demands admiration."

Given the experimental nature of their productions, one never knows quite what to expect, and I must admit to some trepidation as I take my seat for The Complex Whole So Formed, where Kate-in-the-Booth—the theatre’s affectionate moniker for Hardiman in a different life—steps out of the sound booth and into the spotlight."
