Signed, Sealed, Delivered: A Stevie Wonder Experience

"...But first, let me inform you that McGaha's performance is a celebration of Stevie Wonder. And although you can hear a little Stevie in his voice, he's not doing an impersonation of Wonder. Instead, what McGaha does well in the two-hour performance is bringing to life Wonder's early trials, and tribulations that he experienced and the remarkable and ultra-talented artist Wonder was and became throughout his career."

"...The Artists Lounge Live Band stars John-Mark McGaha, former preacher who since his childhood loved Broadway Musicals. At the age of 5 he started to study classical piano. He tells us the story of Stevie Wonder and how it impacted and mirrored his own life, with the piano and guitar .He delivered some of the great songs created by Mr. Wonder, from his early hits like “Signed Sealed and Delivered”, to “Superstition”, to “Isn’t She Lovely”, to his tribute song to MLK Happy Birthday."

"..."Signed, Sealed, Delivered: A Stevie Wonder Experience" is expertly written and directed by actress/singer Angela Ingersoll, with superb music direction by Will Kurk (conductor, vocalist and musician on synth and piano). The show is driven by an impressive performance by John-Mark McGaha (another multi-talent who sings, acts and plays piano); he is backed by a top-notch band. The show is about to complete its all-too-brief run at Mercury Theater Chicago with a final performance at 2:30 p.m. March 12. "Signed, Sealed, Delivered" should have been booked for a much longer run than three weeks, but it unquestionably has great potential as a touring show. And it can only be hoped that it will soon return to Chicago."

"...For several cold wintery afternoons and evenings in February and March, the Mercury Theater Chicago will warm audiences with this savvy celebration of the one and only Stevie Wonder. International singing star and instrumentalist John-Mark McGaha, along with his band of gifted musicians and backup vocalists, will delight young and old alike, taking each and every patron to a "Higher Ground" of enjoyment. It's an unforgettable production that will both enlighten and entertain everyone."

"...“Signed, Sealed, Delivered: A Stevie Wonder Experience with John-Mark McGaha” was a warm refuge from the frigid Chicago weather for its opening night February 23. The Mercury Theater at Southport in Wrigleyville is the perfect venue for a show like this, intimate but big enough for the inevitable crowds of Stevie Wonder fans - myself included."
