"...While this is a wonderful story, there are several other stories contained in the play and each character within has a story. They all unfold during the 2 1/2 hours ( with one intermission) of great storytelling."

"...This glorious and timeless Jerry Bock/Sheldon Harnick musical classic is flawlessly acted and beautifully sung in Matthew Silar's polished professional production. It's a colorful, classically stylish, old-fashioned romance that overflows with charm, beautiful songs and plenty of humor. In short, this charming Christmas gift is a timeless, tuneful treasure-the perfect entertainment present to herald in the holiday season. Love indeed is in the air in Lake Forest."

"...Once we meet and get to know Amalia Balash well-played by Hannah Louise Fermandes and nicely done by Georg Nowack portrayed by Travis Ascione as the verbally dueling couple who start out on the wrong foot, the action, directed by Director Matthew Silar, grows on you until you care about their conflict resolution and those of other characters. Kudos also go to Jake Busse as the cafe waiter."

"...As soon as you enter the theatre, you’ll notice the beautiful set design in gorgeous pastelsthat represents the Maraczek Perfumery in Budapest, Hungary in 1937. This is just the beginning of a beautiful production that weaves a spell around the beloved musical, She Loves Me, written by Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick a year before Fiddler on the Roof."

"...This is a well-cast production from top to bottom, and one actor who stands out is Brody Tyner as the shop’s delivery boy. Tyner has a fine voice and creates a fantastically entertaining character – a young man earnest and eager to prove himself in a grownup’s world. I look forward to seeing Tyner continue his career. He has a bright future."

"...Nonetheless, the story of two young people overcoming their mutual disdain and discovering their love for each other will never go out of style, and the Citadel Theatre production is never less than stylish, fresh and engaging."
