Chicago Tribune - Somewhat Recommended

"..."Rudolph" is by no means a total bust. Brandon Kirkham's boldly colored production design is quite lovely, replete with some terrific, unpretentious puppets, including an aptly massive abominable snowdude and plenty of little furry animals to coax the eyes of the pint-sized theatergoer. This is, for sure, a show for younger kids (I'd say ages 4-7), and that's not a bad thing, since it can be tough to find the right introduction to show-business for that particular demographic. This is a very little-kids-friendly environment, a traditional yarn told with respect, and, of course, just the right kind of story to get everyone excited for Christmas Eve."

Time Out Chicago - Recommended

"...This Rudolph is undoubtedly a slick production, smartly positioned to target shopping or lights-gazing families on the Mag Mile. And seeing young actors getting the final bows could be just the thing to spark a performing interest in younger viewers (the show is recommended for ages 3 and up). But given the ticket prices, adults may wish for some further variance from the annual free broadcast. After all, this is a story that's meant to celebrate uniqueness."

Chicago Theatre Review - Recommended

"...The production includes musical favorites like “Holly Jolly Christmas,” “Jingle, Jingle, Jingle” and the title song, which becomes an audience sing-along. Add to this Ernie Nolan’s simple, but effective choreography and some extra special effects that literally lift Rudolph into the sky, and young children will be thrilled seeing one of their favorite holiday cartoons spring to life."
