As well they should. “Radial Gradient” is a lousy title that won’t sell a ticket on its own. Instead of fighting back, Melanie perpetuates white power by pursuing a PhD in “multi-culti psychology” at the same university, where, in a desperate and preposterous attempt to conduct her thesis research at her dissertation defense, she subjects Gigi and Anjani to a faux-private survey under the surveillance (via two-way glass) of her thesis advisors. Radial Gradient illustrates the toxic claustrophobia of a petri dish where everyone speaks a vernacular of LOLs and TBHs, and no one can escape or progress."

In Jasmine Sharma's "Radial Gradient" now making its World Premiere with Shattered Globe Theatre at Theater Wit, we have a behind the scenes look at a college campus where three women enter a study in hopes of finding ways to change the complexion after a hate crime has taken place. Not being one that took the fraternity path, but having a number of friends who did, I understand a little about the attitude that goes with the territory. They also have a unique language so when one enters the theater, along with your program you will get a sheet of paper that is the "word bank" for this play."
