High School Musical at Drury Lane- Oakbrook

"...Live theater is something special and the sooner we can get our young audiences into it, the better off they will be.  One of the shows that just keeps on attracting our young audiences, the girls in particular, is "High School Musical," the theatrical version of Disney's award winning movie.  Drury Lane Oakbrook has just opened a sparkling production as part of its Theatre for young audience program that is as enjoyable as the first time I saw this live version.  The music in the show is sensational and the cast that has been assembled for Drury Lane's production is outstanding.  While small in numbers, they are enormous in talent.  Director and Choreographer Rachel Rockwell truly knows how to make a 70 minute show keep all the kids in focus from start to end.  Even the parents and grandparents in the audience were clapping their hands and stomping their feet, and a lot of them knew the words to the songs as well."
