A Young Lady From Rwanda
2257 N Lincoln Avenue Chicago
"Buy, beg or steal a ticket," wrote The Times of London after this play's premiere last year. Juliette is a survivor of the Rwanda massacres of 1994. Now living in London, she encounters Simon, a well educated but uninspired and adrift poet, and asks him to help her craft the manuscript she has written. Soon she and her would-be mentor life-changing discoveries about resilience and survival, and the expressive power of the written word.
