"...Jessica Hudson exhibits tremendous grace as onetime dancer Katja, while Michael E. Smith's Lev moves from flatulent oldster to the assured impresario of his youth with seamless skill. Playing their grown daughter, Mickey Crocker brings a growing sense of muted horror to the story unfolding before her, and Matt Hawkins's inspired staging makes good use of the small space. The show ultimately gets a bit lost in preciousness. Still, there are some heart-stoppingly beautiful moments over the course of its 75 minutes."

And Smith, as her husband, and Crocker, as their forcedly cheery daughter who narrates the reenactment, give firm support. But while it’s true that romantic commitment is a strange animal, and Weaver has written a play to match the strangeness, we leave more baffled than curious."

"...The play never deals with the question of why it took Katja so long to confront Lev? There needs to be a further explanation as to why their marriage lasted so long. The three actors did yeomen work as both elderly and younger folks. This world premiere is worth a look."
