Infamous Commonwealth Theatre welcomes new Managing Director Abbie Colton.     

Abbie Colton has worked in the Chicago theater community as a stage manager, production manager, set designer and producer with companies such as WNEP Theater and The Factory Theater. In 2009, she produced the world premiere of Dave Stinton's The Lost Shakespeare Play. She is currently pursuing her Master's Degree in Performing Arts Management from Columbia College and has recently begun work with Arts Alliance Illinois. She is an active member of the Illinois Theater Association and former member of the Jeff Awards Committee.

Ms. Colton graduated from Michigan State University, earning a B.A. in Theater. Upon graduation, she joined Berkeley Repertory Theater as a Stage Management Intern and was later hired as a Production Assistant, working with theater professionals such as Tony Taccone, Culture Clash, Brian Kulick, Stephen Wadsworth, Dominique Serrand and Geoff Hoyle.
