Part pep rally, part rock 'n' roll beach party, Leonardo's Surf Rockin' Family Concert will have kids and parents singing, dancing, and clapping along to the music at Metropolis Performing Arts Center on October 16, 2010.
Inspired by a brother with both autism and Down syndrome, Leonardo strives to create music that is appealing and educational to children of all ages and abilities. His debut CD "Makin' Lemonade" was created to support the old saying "if you feel life is giving you lemons - make lemonade." Having toured for 12 years as a folk/acoustic artist, Leonardo is no stranger to catchy lyrics and pleasing melodies. Grammy.com notes that his songs are "Empowering, thoughtful, original…" This high-energy interactive show will have the entire family moving and grooving to the beat.
Leonardo's Surf Rockin' Family Concert comes to Metropolis October 16, 2010. Tickets are $14 for adults and $12 for children 12 and under. Tickets can be purchased online at MetropolisArts.com or by calling the Box Office at 847.577.2121.
Leonardo's Surf Rockin' Family Concert is part of the Family Series at Metropolis, a new series presenting shows that are fun and exciting for the whole family. More family shows in the 2010/11 season include Doktor Kaboom! on November 7, 2010 and Be the Groove in April, 2011.
