La Costa Theatre Company, the "Best New Theatre Troupe of 2006" according to the Chicago Tribune, will introduce its 2010 season at the "Black Tied and Broke Gala" on Saturday, November 14 at 7pm.

Guests are invited to the theatre to dress their best for an evening of food, drink, live auction, raffle prizes, and live entertainment, featuring a special preview performance of the 2010 Season. The performance will include a scene from The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) and songs from Little Shop of Horrors and Stalk, an original musical written by company member Stephen Gawrit. As a preview of La Costa's upcoming 2010 summer camp, children under the direction of company member Chelly Brodsky will also perform.

"We are excited to reconnect to the community with the shows we have planned," said artistic director Jonathan Hymen. "In the last year it has been tough to do the work we are passionate about doing due to the economic situation. These shows comment on the times while making it fun for families and audience members of all ages."
