Follow the seedy exploits of Slim and Cavale, two tumultuous artists based on Sam Shepard and Patti Smith, who wrote the play during their relationship. Cavale (Smith) and Slim (Shepard) live in New York City during the '60s and '70s, and together with their pet lobster, the pair live, fight and create enough for 10,000 lifetimes before their partnership disintegrates. Smith and Shepard wrote the play in two nights by passing a typewriter back and forth between them, writing deranged, emotionally fueled dialogue. After the performance, enjoy a rock show featuring original music by Matt Kahler, set to the poetry of Smith.
