But the performer with the biggest emotional lift in this story, Sharriese Hamilton, playing a firefighter’s mom, honors the true heart of the show quite beautifully. By extension, she and the rest of this show honor all of those who were lost, or bereaved one quarter of a century ago."

"...I must admit, I was quite anxious about Marriott Theatre’s production of “Come From Away, celebrating the amazing story of events that took place 25 years ago this month ( hard to believe!). I have seen several productions of this powerful story with a book, music, and lyrics by Irene Sankoff and David Hein, but never “in-the-round”. My thoughts were that if anyone could make it happen, and make it happen right, it would be the Marriott staff, and I must say the teamwork of director Jessica Fisch and choreographer Katie Spelman brought a special intimacy to this 100 minutes of musical theater ( no intermission) and brought this “ensemble” piece a look that should garner some accolades from audience members of all ages."
