Bob Marley's Three Little Birds

"...Feeling glued to the TV and afraid to go outside lately? You're not alone. Ziggy, the protagonist in Bob Marley's Three Little Birds, now onstage with Young People's Theatre of Chicago under the codirection of artistic director Randy White and Tuesdai B. Perry (Perry also choreographs) has a laundry list of fears that keep him inside his Jamaican home: hurricanes, bugs, and the Duppy-a malevolent spirit said to prowl the Caribbean, derived from stories told by the enslaved people brought there."

"...This production, under the direction of Randy White ( along with co-director/choreographer Tuedai B. Perry) is a charming one hour musical with a sterling cast of players who move well, sing well and know how to play a young audience. The playwright, Michael J. Bobbitt has taken the story by Marley and converted it nicely into one that will hold the attention of both young and older audiences. It is suggested 4 and older, but depending on your child, you might have a three year old and have them enjoy the music and dancing."
Chicago Theatre Review - Highly Recommended
"...This delightfully cheerful Caribbean cartoon of a musical is as bright and bodacious as Jamaican itself. Filled with all the joy and happiness of Bob Marley’s contagious music, THREE LITTLE BIRDS is a fun, 60-minute family musical that takes wing and seems to swiftly fly by. Both children and their parents will eagerly join in all the fun, and will soon forget that Winter’s cold chill is just outside the theater."
