"... lethargic comic timing and unsatisfying payoffs render the performances more awkward than the situations. And the writing is too dull to carry even promising bits--a man bringing a cantaloupe to a cat funeral, cake caterers getting a big order from the KKK--beyond the initial gag. One scene with a housewife, a salesman, and his ill-conceived product is unbearable."
