Leone Baxter

Clem Whitaker

have the killer instinct of Leone nor the ideas. He will occasionally take credit for her work, but he comes to admire and eventually love her.
Upton Sinclair
55, Male. Sinclair was a world famous writer at the time. He decided to run for Governor of California and presented an incredible progressive platform. He was not much of a public speaker but his message was powerful nonetheless. People might think of him as a Bernie Sanders type.

supported and serves at the right hand man to Sinclair. Chaplin is also struggling with his own movie career - trying to find a way to join the world of "talkies."
Frank Merriam

George Hatfield
46, Male. Merriam's Lieutenant Governor. Seems like a fairly mild mannered harmless guy, but is actually a bit of a snake. He is more concerned with his own political career than the current campaign.
Franklin D. Roosevelt/Others
50s, Male. President of the U.S. The most powerful person in the country at the time. He must decide to back Sinclair, who is potentially more popular than he, or Merriam who is running for the opposing party. In the end he will take care of himself before anything else.
