Material To Prepare:
Singer Auditions: Looking for strong vocalists for are comfortable singing Duke Ellington's compositions to vivid life. Prepare two contrasting 32-bar selections in the style of the show. (You may sing songs from the show.) Bring sheet music, your book and a headshot/resume. An accompanist will be provided. No recordings, please. You may be asked to come back and dance on the afternoon of Friday, June 28.
Dance Calls: Each call will consist of a jazz combination and a tap combination, so please bring shoes for both, and a headshot/resume. Gymnastic skills a plus! You may be asked to stay and sing, so please prepare 32 bars of a music theatre song in the style of the show that best shows off your voice. Have a second song ready if asked. You may also be asked to dance again later that day.
