Seeking male and female actors/musician/singers for a June run of DARK OF THE MOON
Set in the Appalachian Mountains, DARK OF THE MOON centers on John, a witch boy who seeks to become human after falling in love with a human girl, Barbara Allen. Originally written by Howard Richardson in 1939 as a dramatization of the centuries old European folk song "The Ballad of Barbara Allen", Richardson's cousin, William Berney reworked the script in 1945 and billed it as a "legend with music."
This production is a ghost story told through a folk band. We are especially interested in actors who can play guitar, percussion, fiddle, banjo, and other traditional acoustic folk instruments.
