Way upstairs there are four secrets hidden. Blond, beautiful, innocent little secrets, struggling to stay alive. The four Dollengroper children had such perfect lives -- a beautiful mother, a doting father, a lovely home. Then Daddy was killed in a car accident, and Momma took them all to live with their stinking rich grandparents. But there are a few things that Momma forgot to tell them. She never mentioned how their grandmother considers them "devil's spawn," or how they would be locked away in a dark drafty attic, or how come they feel so ill after eating those delicious cookies...But Momma promised it would only be for a few days...but as the days stretch into years Cathy and Chris, the eldest children, become increasingly convinced that their mother is a deranged bitch no longer cares about them. Chris and Cathy become all things to the young twins...and to each other. They cling to their love like the gossamer thread-bear ballerina costume Cathy insists on wearing despite how it clings to her nubile, budding young flesh, driving her brother Chris to the brink of obsession. PLEASE NOTE: This show is a campy musical. A good sense of humor, and a working knowledge of the source material, is highly recommended. Willingness to cross-dress a plus.
