As the characters navigate their individual traumas, they form unexpected bonds, challenging societal norms and confronting their fears. This thought-provoking play offers a powerful look at feminism, survival, and solidarity as these women wrestle with their pasts while fighting for a better future.

Agnes - early fifties, proprietress of the bed and breakfast. Believes in "tough love" and keeps her own trauma buried deep.

Penny - Seeking 18+ to play younger - high school senior (17-18), Agnes' daughter. Teenage attitude but still na?ve in many ways; can't wait to escape her isolated island life.

Mary Anne - This role has already been cast - mid-twenties, runaway. Deeply wounded and desperately searching for a Prince Charming to save her. This role requires intimacy.

Hannah - early thirties - to early forties, traveler. A dreamer looking for a purpose, she is very perceptive, sarcastic and outspoken, and provides much-needed levity. Hannah identifies as a lesbian.

Paul - mid-thirties, songwriter. He is also running away from a life that no longer suits him; probably a covert narcissist, but would like you to believe that he is a romantic troubadour.

This role requires some basic ability to play guitar (nothing very complicated) and sing (think guy playing guitar to woo the girl - his talent is definitely bigger in his mind than in reality).
