We at FlightTime Productions are excited to announce our casting call for a read-through of our up and coming stage production of "Diva Airways: The Rise & Fall"

We have multiple roles available and looking for characters of many ages, genders, and ethnicities. Please note, this is our first debut production, and those that are selected to read for a role will be invited to join us for a read through of the script with our playwright, casting director and production team.

You must submit by Friday, September 18, 2026 by 9PM CST.

Miss Loretta Monroe
The owner of Diva Airways, uptight about finances and wants nothing more but to have the best airline in the industry. She always speaks her mind, and tends to make strong business decisions, loves to see the operation at work. Pronouns: She/Her

Alexa Winters
The snappy, sassy assistant and receptionist to Loretta, always takes everything to heart but absolutely means well. She's the literal backbone to the company, and everything would crumble without her. She keeps everyone motivated.

Damien Monroe
The son of Diva Airways owner, assists his mother with daily functions at the main hub of the airline at Harvey International Airport, in Harvey, Washington. He wants to get his mother to give him an official job title, and she makes it hard on him to do so with all the loopholes.

Mimi Garland
The silly, ditzy newly hired flight attendant for Diva Airways, dreams big and loves to focus on the bigger picture in life and really loves her job. Becomes best friends with Viola, and wants higher seniority in the company so she can start traveling abroad.

Rita VanBuren
The funny, over-the-top customer service manager for Diva Airways, a fashionista who's always late and tends to overlook some important things, knew Loretta for a long time. She's labeled as a perfectionist who isn't always perfect.

Amber Johnson
The full-time gate supervisor for Diva Airways, complains that the gates and ticket counters are always so understaffed, always butts heads with Rita. She's been with Diva Airways since the very beginning when they only had twelve routes.

Viola Fairbanks
The sweet, timid gate agent for Diva Airways, overworked who's getting quite annoyed with working doubles after doubles, loves her job regardless. Has dreams of one day moving to New York City and working as a flight attendant as well as to perform on Broadway.

Daniel Larsen
The kind, handsome ramp agent for Diva Airways, meets Viola and instantly takes a liking to her, falls in love how she does things at work, and ultimately gets her to like him back. He's very passionate about aviation, always thought about transferring above wing.

Mr. Jeremy Tisdale
The evil, cruel airport official who made false claims that Diva Airways is not representing Harvey International Airport the way they should be, dislikes the airline with a passion. He fights to have a major rival airline, Backcountry Airlines, more gate, office and counter space.

William Callaghan
The Diva Airways cargo manager, set up a meeting with Loretta to discuss aircraft options for more capacity of cargo. This character is LGBTQ, and has hopes that Diva Airways won't announce bankruptcy- from what he heard.

Trina, Jason, Blake, Jeniva, Kyle, Brooklyn, Miss Brooks & Airport Announcer
Characters throughout the play, ranges from Diva Airways employees to potential new hires and fun comedy bits along the way

If selected to read at the read-through event, the event will be held at the Hanover Park Branch Library on Monday, September 21, 2026. In the afternoon. We do plan to produce this production as a world premiere in Chicago in 2027 and you may be asked to take on the role in the full scale production
