Eclectic Full Contact Theatre is now accepting headshot/resume submissions for principal actors and understudies for its upcoming world premiere production of "Socks & Co." by Alexander Attea, running 11/6-11/21 at The Edge Theater at 5451 N. Broadway.

Casey is just trying to make ends meet working in a luxury sock store where the socks cost almost as much as their rent, and their manager is obsessed with her social media presence. Then an employee goes missing, the store's tech bro owner starts acting stranger than usual, and the door to the back room now opens onto a portal to time and space! Can Casey solve the mystery, keep their job, and most importantly, make their rent? This brand new satirical farce explores the absurdity of trying to hold on to your humanity in a system that looks at it as just another commodity.

The character breakdown below is how the characters' gender expressions are described in the script. EFCT encourages actors to audition for the role they most identify with, regardless of the character's placement on the gender spectrum.

CASEY A new hire. Full of sometimes-nervous energy. (Woman/Non-binary, BIPOC 20s)

HEATHER The store manager. Excitable. (Woman, Middle Eastern, Latine, AAPI 20s-40s)

DELIVERY DAN The delivery man. Super chill. (Man, BIPOC 20s-30s)

GRANT SAQUES The owner of the sock store. (Man, Any Ethnicity 30s-50s)

MR. HORNE A customer. Normal - until he's not. (Man/Non-binary, White 30s-60s)

Auditions will be held at the Broadway United Methodist Church, 3338 N Broadway August 20 from 6-10 pm and August 22 from 1-6 pm. Auditions will consist of sides from the show. A link to those sides will be provided when an audition slot is confirmed.

Pay for principals is $250
Pay for understudies is $125

Understudies are required to be at the first read-thru of the play, the designer run, and all non Q2Q tech rehearsals. Attendance at any other rehearsals is up to them. They are required to see at least one show per performance weekend, and be available to go on in case of an emergency. They are also guaranteed one performance.
