The Theater Lab, a District 214 Community Education program, is excited to announce auditions for A Midsummer Night's Dream by William Shakespeare - the closing production of its 10th anniversary season!

The Theater Lab is a friendly, collaborative company that welcomes performers of all backgrounds and experience levels to audition.

Audition Information
Date: Tuesday, May 19, 2026
Time: 8:00-10:00 p.m.
Location: Forest View Education Center Theater

Auditions will be scheduled in 10-minute time slots.
To request a time slot, please complete the audition form by 11:59 p.m. on Friday, May 15, 2026

After submitting the form, you will receive a confirmation email with your assigned audition time on or before Monday, May 18, 2026.

Time Commitment:

Rehearsals will begin the week of June 8, 2026, and continue through the production, including the week between performance weekends (August 17-23, 2026).
Rehearsals will be held 2-3 evenings per week
Typical schedule: 7:30-9:00 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays
Wednesdays may be added as needed, especially closer to performances
No rehearsal on July 4

We ask for a broader range of availability to help accommodate scheduling. However, conflicts will be considered during casting, with preference given to those with fewer conflicts when necessary.

All actors must be available for technical rehearsals and performances: August 10-16, 2026.
No exceptions-please do not audition if you are unavailable during this time.

Material To Prepare:

Please prepare a 2-3 minute monologue. Shakespeare or a classic monologue is encouraged, but all monologues are welcome.
