The Dunes Summer Theatre in Michigan City, northwest Indiana's oldest continually producing professional summer theater, announces its auditions for the 2026 season. Productions include:

DEATHTRAP by Ira Levin
FRANKIE AND JOHNNY IN THE CLAIRE DE LUNE by Terrence McNally
AVENUE Q, music and lyrics by Robert Lopez and Jeff Whitty, book by Jeff Whitty
JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR (concert presentation) by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice

Auditions for non-Equity performers will be held in the following locations:

CHICAGO:
Saturday, February 7 (10:00 AM to 5:00 PM) and Sunday, February 8 (12:30 PM to 5:30 PM)
Edgewater Presbyterian Church (Redtwist rehearsal space), 1020 West Bryn Mawr

MICHIGAN CITY
Saturday, February 14 and Sunday, February 15, 12:00 to 5:00 PM
Holdcraft Performing Arts Center, 1200 Spring Street, Michigan City

Nonmusical auditioners should prepare two monologues of no longer than three minutes total length;
musical auditioners should prepare two songs (no longer than 16 bars each) and one monologue (no longer than 2 minutes). PLEASE NOTE: Musical auditioners on Saturday, February 7 should schedule times prior to 2:00 PM.

Pay for actors is $100/week for rehearsals (4 weeks), $50/performance (9 performances. The Dunes also provides housing for out of town artists.
