Galaxy Theater Company announces auditions for their upcoming production of Twelve Angry Jurors, directed by John Wognum.
Auditions, callbacks, rehearsals, and performances will be held at The First Congregational Church of La Grange, located at 100 6th Avenue, La Grange, Illinois 60525.
Auditions: Monday January 26th and Wednesday January 28th 6pm-9pm
Callbacks: Thursday, January 29th (if necessary)
Read-through: Wednesday February 4th
Rehearsals: Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays-7pm-9pm,
Performances: Friday, April 17 and 24 at 7:30 pm
Saturday, April 18 and 25 at 7:30 pm
Sunday, April 19 and 26 at 2:00 pm
THE STORY:
The jury has just heard the trial of a young delinquent accused of murdering his father. The judge has given the final instructions and sent them to the jury room to decide the defendant's fate, stressing that the verdict of guilt or innocence must be unanimous either way. If they find the boy guilty the sentence will be the electric chair.
Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. Please bring a list of conflicts and a photo (if possible) for the director. All roles are open.
