Character Breakdown: We urge actors of all races/ethnicities, body types, gender, age, and physical ability to audition. All genders will be considered for all roles.
Pete the Cat (B2-B4 optional C5) - A super zen, rocking cat who lives in a VW Bus. Goes with the flow.
Jimmy Biddle (D3-Ab4 optional C5) - A very put-together second grader. Likes to prepare and tends to overthink things.
Olive Biddle (A3-A5) - Jimmy's rambunctious sister. In Pre-K. Loves everyone and everything.
Mom (Bb3-Bb5 optional Db6) - Jimmy's nervous mom. Secretly, a rock star.
Dad (Bb2-Bb4 optional Db5) - Jimmy's nervous dad. Secretly, a rock star.
Ensemble (Various Characters) - Grumpy Toad, Gus the Platypus, Cat-Catcher, Mrs. Creech, Students, the Mona Lisa, a Shark, Astronaut
Rehearsals will be held on weekday evenings from 7pm-10pm in Des Plaines between November 19, 2025 and February 8, 2026 before moving to the performance space.
Tech Week will take place February 9 through 13 from 7pm-11pm. There will be no rehearsals on or near Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's Eve/Day.
Performances are at Prairie Lakes Theater February 14 through March 8, 2026 on:
Saturdays and Sundays, February 14, 15, 21, 22, 28, March 1, 7, and 8 at 10am and 1pm
Fridays, February 20 and March 6 at 10am for TBD School Performances
Fridays, February 27 and March 6 at 7pm

For in person auditions performers will be seen in 6 person 30 minute timeslots. Please select a time on our Sign-Up Genius. It is the policy of Big Noise Theatre to accept walk-in auditions regardless of full audition slots. All auditions may be recorded on video.
