Pocket and Theatre L'Acadie are seeking submissions for our upcoming collaboration inc. New Play Festival.
We are seeking a diverse selection of actors for the upcoming inc. New Play Festival. The festival will perform over 2 nights - 3 plays each night, 6 plays in total. (These will be staged stand readings, featuring 30-minute excerpts of each play.) Some actors may be cast in multiple roles in multiple readings.
Scenes have yet to be chosen but will be presented from the plays developed through the new play incubation process, including work by the following playwrights: Jamaque Newberry, Andres Coronado, Kimzyn Campbell, Zoe Soteres, Kandace Mack, and Kolin Lawler
Actor stipend: $50 per show cast
Actors will be asked to attend 2 (3 hour) rehearsals + 1 dress rehearsal ahead of performing a 30 minute excerpt reading of a brand new play in development. Rehearsals 1 & 2 will be scheduled by the Director in accordance to actor availability.
