DESCRIPTION
When Mac's estranged mother starts spending her life savings on a mysterious chronic pain management program, Mac attempts to investigate, only to question her own long-held beliefs and draw the ire of the group's charismatic yet controlling leader. Gut Punch explores flawed connection through the lens of chronic pain patients, Mac and her mother's dysfunctional bond, and two microbes inside a human gut who contemplate their relationship and role in the biome at large. Cast of 8 actors.
