Fat Theatre Project is looking to cast the following roles for a reading of "Destination: Wedding" by Scott C. Sickles, directed by Eileen Tull

This piece is an evening of 13 very short plays set at a destination wedding in Iceland. The piece will be presented as an elevated reading, with scripts in hands but with limited staging as part of a festival at Chicago Danztheatre (1650 W. Foster) in September. Please note that the performance space is only accessible up a flight of stairs. The playwright may make changes or updates - or even add another play or two!

Stipend $50

Actors of all sizes, races, ethnicities, ages, abilities, and types are encouraged to submit.

Cast of Characters
FRED (he/him): The Best Man. Looks good in a tux/suit and tie. Big, cuddly dude with a dad bod, i.e. tall/tallish, sturdy, and a little chubby
Plays 1, 4, 9, 12, 13

JULIE (she/her): A Bridesmaid. Slim. Looks good in a bridesmaid's dress.

DORA (she/her): 30s. The Maid of Honor. Down-to-earth.

REESE (he/him): 20s/early 30s. A little heavy, a charmer. JENNY's romantic ideal.
Plays 2, 3, 8

JENNY (she/her): 20s/early 30s. Full-figured. REESE's romantic ideal.
Plays 2, 3, 5, 8

BASCOM (he/him): A groomsman. A round little gay dude.
Plays 4, 6, 9, 13

GRANDMA (she/her): 70s or older. Angry and bitter, in a wheelchair.
Play 5.

GRANDPA (he/him): 70s or older. Perfectly pleasant. In a wheelchair.

?LAFUR (he/him): 20s, Male. Icelandic so 99% chance he's white. A sensual presence. Thin, athletic build.
Plays 6, 10.

PARIS (she/her): Late 50s/60s. Elegant. A broad in dame's clothes.

Time Commitment:

Schedule - please note that we do not have our performance slots yet. We will perform once each weekend in the same time slot. Exact schedule will be determined by actor availability.
