"...Mac Rogers’s Advance Man (part one of the New York–based playwright’s Honeycomb Trilogy, which premiered in 2012), now in a local debut with Strawdog Theatre Company, tackles the aftermath on Earth for survivors of the first manned mission to the red planet. But the sense of clamminess and loss that pervaded Stevens’s play is very much present here, even if the setting is deceptively domestic."
