"...Don’t get me wrong: a few of Ewing’s stinging critiques of Picasso are delightful. And Rohr’s scathing, icy stare on the night I attended was only outmatched by the uncomfortably frigid air pouring out of the air vent in the theater at the Greenhouse Theater Center. Still, when we finally arrive at Hatcher’s denouement, the play feels unresolved. It never reaches an emotional height for the finale to feel final. The play is too literally cubist—it never breaks out of its own box."
