Whatever We Want Reviews
Chicago Reader- Somewhat Recommended
"...in the absence of a strong narrative, Whatever We Want provides only behaviors leading to an unearned climax. Still, those behaviors can be compelling. In Johns's staging for Vivarium Theatre Company, Niki Dreistadt's Della, Olivia Nielsen's Bethesda, Patriac Coakley's Leonard, and especially Alison Banowsky's Bug are so vivid it hurts. Watching them brought back damaged souls I've loved. I hope Johns takes them through another draft."

"...Whatever We Want is a promising work that is stage worthy that contains fine acting, especially from Alison Banoswky who exudes child-like exuberance that sparks an empathetic adult. This world premiere is worth a look."

"...Whatever We Want is a show of intimate vignettes which delve into the complex sisterhood of Bug and Della, whose parents’ divorce separates them at an early age. We follow the sisters’ interactions through childhood, high school and through college until a dramatic turn of events brings them together when they are young women. The sisters meet every few years to discover they have grown apart more drastically than each had thought, while both leading lifestyles they had not expected or imagined as children."
