"COMPANY" is a brilliant musical comedy that delves into the quest for love amidst the backdrop of New York's vibrant cocktail scene. In Elliott's groundbreaking production, the classic tale's central bachelor is reimagined as a bachelorette. As Bobbie celebrates her 35th birthday, her friends are left pondering: Why hasn't she married? Why hasn't the right man come along? Why the reluctance to build a family? Updated to resonate with contemporary Manhattan, this sharp-witted musical showcases some of Sondheim's most cherished tunes, including hits like "Company," "You Could Drive a Person Crazy," "The Ladies Who Lunch," "Side by Side," and the unforgettable "Being Alive."

COMPANY's Chicago performance is a segment of its 2023-2024 North American tour, featuring Britney Coleman in the role of Bobbie. This comes after its much-lauded and fully booked stint in London's West End, and its triumphant, Tony Award-decorated Broadway showcase. Marianne Elliott, a triple Tony Award recipient known for her works like War Horse, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, and Angels in America, masterfully directs this most celebrated musical of the 2021-2022 Broadway season.

Producer Chris Harper said, "The extraordinary response to this musical masterpiece, both in London and on Broadway, was exhilarating. We are delighted that audiences across North America will finally have the opportunity to experience Marianne Elliott's Tony Award-winning, joyful and laughter-filled production."

Sondheim and Elliott teamed up to modernize COMPANY, adapting Bobbie's relationships to reflect contemporary times. Paul anticipates his fiancee Jamie overcoming his intense pre-wedding nerves. Sarah and Harry use jujitsu as a way to invigorate their relationship. Joanne, with Larry as her third, younger spouse, is navigating their age gap. Peter and Susan's marriage appears flawless until they discover its limitations. Jenny and her conventional husband David are puzzled by Bobbie's continuous singlehood and don't hesitate to voice their opinions. Amidst all this, Bobbie is entangled with three distinct men: the charismatic flight attendant Andy, Theo, a young man navigating city life, and P.J., a true New Yorker whose love for the city rivals his affection for Bobbie.
