1619: The Journey of a People, is a touring musical theater production launched in 2019.
The production has been featured in various media outlets and has enjoyed an extensive run of regional theaters, universities, churches, and conferences across the nation.
Production Synopsis: From the beginning of American slavery to the Revolutionary War, Reconstruction, the Great Migration, and the Civil Rights Era, "1619" packs generations of history into a 2-hour musical theater experience. Using various musical forms including hip-hop and jazz, this production takes audiences on a journey that illuminates the past while also tackling important contemporary issues.
Criteria:
-Seeking non equity performers for local and touring engagements
-Seeking male and female singers, dancers, and actors preferably with a background in musical theater
Acting Audition Video: 60 sec monologue
Singing Audition Video: 32 bars of musical theater or pop song-can be a clip from a previous performance
Dancing Audition Video: 30 to 60 dance clip-can be from a previous performance
