MPAACT announces general auditions for its production of Red Summer which will have an abbreviated run at Governors State in September 2022. We are seeking strong singers, actors, and dancers. This is a new play; actors who are cast will be involved in the workshop process, which is scheduled to take place this September 2021 and other dates to be determined from March through June 2022. All opportunities are paid. MPAACT is a non-equity company; there are no AEA or out of state contracts available for this production.
Audition Date: Saturday, July 24, 2021, 10 AM-1 PM, at RIVENDELL THEATRE (5779 N Ridge Ave)
Material To Prepare: Two-minute contemporary, dramatic monologue; 16 bars of a song (any genre) to be sung a cappella
Callback Information: Monday, July 26, 2021 (two sessions: 6-8 PM or 8-10 PM) at RAVEN THEATRE (6157 N Clark St)
Material To Prepare: Sides will be provided; come dressed for a movement call; be prepared to stay for two hours
