Facility Theatre
Staged Summer Readings

Pay: $250

Description:

The summer BIPOC Reading Festival (Staged Summer Festival) is an official program of Facility Theatre. This program kicks off a series of ongoing events uplifting BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) artists. The inaugural festival will feature 6 readings from diverse playwrights taking place throughout the summer months. Note: During 2021, the readings will take place on zoom until it is deemed safe to have them at Facility's space.

Are you a BIPOC Playwright interested in developing your work and having your play read out loud by professional actors? We are always looking for new artists to work with. If your play is selected for the summer curation, we will be in touch for more information. We do not have any specific genre or topical requirements for our plays. They can be short, long, small cast, big cast, written for today, or written in pastiche. We are interested in all submissions and look forward to reading yours!
