Wayward Sisters Theatre is looking for female-identifying actors to work on our upcoming Sisterhood Series in January. The Sisterhood Series will feature 2 new plays, "Bushwick Girls" by Emma Rund and "Route" by Alexandra Shields. The workshop will end in a final recorded video that will be up on YouTube.

*All rehearsals will be held virtually over Zoom, due to the current world.*

Roles we are casting:

Bushwick Girls:

Gabriella Sanchez (early 20s): Gabriella is a Dreamer. She is an Mexican undergraduate student majoring in creative writing and minoring in women and gender studies.

Bridget Andrews (in her 80s): Gabriella's landlady in 2017. Irish American Cat lady. She believes fiercely that the law is meant to be followed always.

Gloria Moore (later teens 17ish): A brilliant young woman studying. African American very hard to become a scientist for NASA. She moved to Brooklyn for a better high school education.

Bridget McCarthy (teens 15ish): The oldest of a large Catholic Irish family. She values her religion and her family. She moved to Brooklyn to provide for them.

Ariella Feldstein (Later teens 18ish) A young Jewish American actress who has recently moved out of her parents house. She values freedom, independence and ambition.

Margot Kühn (teens 16ish) The new German girl. Shy. She is trying to process the horrors of the last few years. She just wants some peace and a few friends.

Clara Winslow (in her 60s) The landlady in 1949. She is ready to move on to a simpler life. She is caucasian.

Route

Georgia: Age nine and wise beyond her years. A pickup truck. Georgia can be played by an adult actress.

Jade: Age sixteen. Caustic and frustrated, which is a mask for deep wounds. A hard top.

Scarlet: Age twenty. Straining under the weight of her maternal role. Very close to cracking. A convertible turned into a station wagon.
